Lance hails from Southwest Virginia, bringing with him an enthusiastic take on the diverse music of the region.

Whether playing acoustic or electric guitar, Lance channels a range of emotion behind his music while creating an effortless connection with his audience. A dynamic singing voice lends itself well to bluegrass, rock and country music.

Since moving to Richmond in 2014, he has established himself as the primary songwriter and vocalist of the bluegrass band South Hill Banks. 

The group's infectious live energy paired with catchy melodies has led them to have great success in regional markets up and down the East Coast. South Hill Banks was crowned FloydFest's "On-The-Rise" winner in 2017 and voted Best Group in Lockn's 2020 "Rockn' to Lockn'" band competition.
